RooferMatch

Terms of use

The plain rules for using RooferMatch.

Guidance, not professional advice

Our guides, the roof check and the ChatGPT app give general information about roofs. They aren't an inspection, and they can't see your roof. If something looks dangerous, keep clear and get a professional out.

Estimates aren't quotes

Cost ranges come from regional price data and the details you give. A real price depends on an inspection, local code, the condition of the decking and the roofer. Don't treat our range as a verdict on any roofer's bid.

Insurance

We explain how roof insurance claims usually work. We don't give advice on your claim, deal with your insurer, or tell you what your policy covers. Your policy and your insurer decide that.

Roofers are independent

Member roofers run their own businesses. We check their insurance, and their license where the state requires one, before they can receive requests, but we don't supervise their work or guarantee it. Any agreement you make is between you and the roofer. Get quotes in writing and read them before you sign.

How roofers are shown

Roofers pay RooferMatch when they receive a request you confirmed. They can't pay to appear or to rank higher. See how roofers are ordered.

Using the service fairly

Only ask for quotes for your own property or one you're responsible for, using your own contact details. Don't use RooferMatch to send requests in someone else's name, to scrape it, or to get around its limits.

Liability

RooferMatch is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on our guidance or for a roofer's work.
